 Gear - HDD
I need to buy new HDD very soon. Since I started to do my first time lapse project, I am out of hdd space, so my question is this : - 1TB hdd or 2TB or bigger or 2x 1TB or some other combination - WD or some other brand ? Black edition because of 5 y warranty - or maybe to get external USB 3 ?
any ideas or preferences or any suggestions ?
ps. I am on budget , since I do Timelapse for myself and to learn

 Re: Gear - HDD
I use a couple of hard drives setup up in a RAID array to get speed. These are my main data drives in my computer. But I also have a desktop drive the same size to backup to.
The faster the drive the faster the processing as it's usually the access time of your data that will mostly slow down you creation of movies etc.
Added to this I backup two copies of all my shots in their original format which is DNG for archiving. One copy at home and the other copy at work.
Hope this helps.
