Here is something on the opposite end of time lapse that looks pretty intriguing.

I think it runs about 1k.

the key is the resolution at 1200 fps your image is 336x96 - suitable for viewing on a postage stamp sized monitor - however it is very interesting, i'd love to have a 2k sized image at even 1000 fps for the price of a full frame DLSR.

I don't know i think I could live with 512x384 video at 300 fps. I think you could up res it and use it in a SD project. Sure it wouldn't be pretty. But 300 fps come on.

on one hand features like this are cool... but on the other hand you just took all the "fun" out of trying to capture the perfect moment.

Not that I am complaining... i hope this feature catches on and canon makes a $1,000 DSLR that can shoot 24fps in couple of years so all those guys you spent 50 grand on a RED one start jumping of buildings and opening up some production jobs. = )

Check out this camera

http://www.shimadzu.com/products/test/h ... 01d6t.html

1,000,000 fps!!!

It would take 11.5 hours to watch 1 second of slow motion footage shot at 1,000,000 fps with this camera.

That's just on the border of overkill, but just barely.

That will require massive amounts of photons, where will they all come from?
