iPad time lapse preview app idea
Hello! I am the author of one of the iDevice time lapse apps available in the Apple app store. I was recently approached with an iPad time lapse app suggestion and I am trying to gauge the general interest in such an app in the time lapse photographer community to see if it is a worthwhile effort. Your comments and suggestions, positive or negative, are greatly appreciated. The purpose of the app is to allow using an iPad as a quick field proofing tool when performing DSLR time lapses. The workflow would consist of using Apple's iPad Camera Connection Kit ( http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC531ZM/A) to import the photographs into the iPad and then using the proposed app to generate videos from the photographs. with some configurability (FPS, cropping, zooming, etc.). The idea is NOT to replace the final post processing workflow but instead to allow creating videos that can be used for quick field preview, for sharing interim results with others, etc. On a scale of 1-5, where 1 is 'useless' and 5 is 'must have', how would you rate the utility of such an app for yourself? Any questions, comments and suggestions are encouraged and appreciated.

I would use it but i have a mac book pro so would like it to work with that. I have no idea how it would work though.

Hi,
Are you suggesting an app which enables the creation of a timelapse vid on the iPad from photos taken on my DLSR as opposed to my IPad camera? If so, f**k yeah! I would love to create timelapse while on the road. Which seems to be impossible at the present time
Thanks

Yes, that is indeed the idea.

Great idea! I want it.
How much would development cost? Maybe you can try it on kickstarter or some other crowdfunding site.

I don't know...
Importing some 100 Raw images to have a 4-second preview of a timelapse sound interesting, but I'd rather have the iPad as an actual preview screen of what my camera captures at the moment. I've been thinking about connecting my iPad to my dslr for quite a while now, but there seems to be no productive way to do it.

Hello,
Since I'm the one who made the suggestion, would I get a copy of the app for free? LOL.
Yes ... waiting to use such an app.

Something seems to be wrong with the poll. I'm not able to cast a vote.
