Computer Science in the production world?
I'm thinking of pursuing a degree in computer science but don't want to be stuck in an office desk for the rest of my life. Is there CS applications in the film world, or am I dreaming here? I noticed that a lot of the members here are quite knowledgeable in the subject so I was hoping they could give some insight. I know it is a good field to get into and I love tinkering around coding, but I would like to be able to get into the field, or at least work on something tangible.
Are a lot of you that are designing dolly systems, software, etc.. Computer Science majors?
Does computer science play any role in post-production, such as effects and what not?
What about stop-motion and animation?
any answers would be greatly appreciated
Thanks Jeff
