please, help me!
I'm having a trouble finding out how to power a 5D mark II with an external power source. I've bought a battery, emptied the contents and soldered wires to the - and + poles of the battery. From there the wires go down to a larger video camera battery, which delivers the same voltage as the standard LP-E6-battery used in the 5DII.
The problem is that the 5D won't power up at all. I've measured the current, and the voltage is right, and I have not mixed up the - and + on the battery.
Could the problem be related to the fact that I've thrown away the electronics in the battery? Does the camera need any form of input on the T and C-connectors?
I have an ac adapter ac-e6. It has dummy battery, so I try again with ac-e6 jack but camera dosen't work.
Other cameras work well. 5D mark II has any secret? please help me! I'd like to diy.

I have an older version of this that I use to power a flash and it's a beast. The version that I linked to will also power a camera. My old one won't.
