I have an AC adapter I use with my camera (Nikon D3s) for long video shoots - and also a vagabond mini (basically an integrated lithium battery with AC inverter) for doing location field work.

Anybody tried combining these two? Obviously there will be power loss going from DC -> AC -> DC , but Im hoping the extra large Vmini battery will make up for this

I used to do that w/ the older Vagabond 2 and my D3's / D7000's for long shoots...never even came close to "empty" running both cameras overnight ...I imagine the mini should work just fine

BTW: Since then I found the camera cables for my Quantum 2x2 turbos and compacts...work really nice and are a lot smaller/easier for travel...still haven't run one dry on an overnight shoot...

I use my vagabond mini all the time for my z slider system running with the dp mx2 controller. I then run the camera on ac too so I get no camera shut down. I have ran upto 8 hours without issues.
