Post Olympus E-PM1?
I've been shooting TL mostly on my D3100 but I'm getting concerned over my poor shutter when it's being fired for thousands of frames at a time - plus it ties up my precious camera. I shoot mostly macro using extension tubes. I do have a brinno which is ok for screening subjects but the picture quality ain't exactly brilliant.

I've been looking at a moderately priced compact as an alternative and the E-PM1 seems to do the job, the only downside I can see is the lack of DC power but I can probably rig that via the battery compartment. I'd plan to stick extension tubes ( or reversing ring ) on the kit lens to get macro, the antishock can be used as an intervalometer which would come in handy until I can source/build a more flexible one.

Anyone got experience with them or reasons I shouldn't get one?
