Post Kino's vs Strobes
Anyone have any insight or input on the pro's and cons of shooting under fluorescent lights like Kino's vs Strobes for macro time-lapses and deepish (3-5 days) plant and natural history style work.
I understand that even the top strobes will have a variance in light output that will require deflickering, however the newer Kino's are very flicker resistant so a big plus there.

I would go with kino as they will be cool, just make sure you let them warm up. I shot plants using clamp lamps with CF bulbs in a very small space and they worked very nicely.

Yep was thinking a 4 Bank Kino through a 1/4 Silk overhead to give a nice overall light and then key-light with some Cool-lights LED 256's through a snoot lighting each flower.

Anyone else have any studio time lapse input suggestions for me.

The other important factors are temperature and humidity of your studio.
You'd be amazed at some set ups I've seen (when asked to advise why it's not working) that are situated in the middle of a large cold studio.
