It's pointless putting up the full size image which is 130,000 pixels wide :)

296 raw images taken on a Canon 7D and 100mm lens mounted on a Gigapan Epic Pro

Looks pretty cool, it is amazing how much detail there is in such an image.

Good detail and exposure across the image. I guess problems start with mixed cloud/sunshine. I thought about getting one
of these heads but printing such large images would need a wide roll printer (lots of ink) :( to do them justice.

To shoot the 296 images took about 40 minutes so you do need to watch the sky to see what the clouds are going to be doing. In this case it wasn't a problem as the cloud was pretty much 100% coverage.

When I start shooting with a 400mm it will take a lot longer to get all the images in the bag so the weather will play a big part in getting it right
