Post HDR Software Suggestions?
I have always been interested in night photography, but never very good at it. I didn't know what HDR was until I found this forum, and I think HDR might be the best way to make up for what the camera records vs. what I can't figure out how to make it record.

Any suggestions on which HDR software to get?

I'm doing this for fun, so not really interested in expensive software like Photoshop's pro stuff, but the hundred dollar range won't break the bank.

I've downloaded the demo of Photomatix and also Dynamic Photo HDR. Both seem to produce the same results (to my untrained eye anyway) but the user interface seems a bit spiffier on the Dynamic Photo software.

Out of the camera:

Out of the computer (but I don't know where the blue light around the store names came from  )

I'd say try them both out on an actual time-lapse batch sequence, then see which one looks better as actual video.
Some sequences can come out with horrible flicker with certain types of processing.

Thanks. The Lite version might be perfect for me - no adjustments to mess up 8-)

Jim,...did you check out the one by Nik Software?
Seems to be getting some positive reviews. I've never seen a Timelapse hDR done with it
but the standard ones look great.

NIK HDR Efex Pro is great, BUT it won't do batch processing for HDR Timelapse.. You could always do each one individually.
Have a friend who spoke to NIK about adding batch processing.

Photomatix Pro, HDR Expose are both good programs too.

Ive only ever used photomatix its simple to use and gives good results cant say Ive ever done a hdr timelapse though. Nik HDR effects looks good too, have a friend that is quite a good photog that has been testing both recently, they both have pros and cons.

You might want try this one if you are still in the process of choosing software :

I use both Photomatrix and the above and get good "natural" looking images from both, steeper learning curve for Photomatrix (IMO).

You can have a try with HDR Darkroom. The interface is so simple that even the beginners can produce hdr photoseasily. Besides, the price is satisfying. You can have a trial edition for free=>>http://www.everimaging.com or make use of free online editor named Fotor=>>http://www.fotor.com
