Have you guys seen this? I don't shoot Astro but I figure you guys might be interested.


Seems overpriced. Can't you mod a camera in this way for cheaper?

i think i paid under 1,000 for my 60d. The real benefit is the warranty is not lost due to modifications.

Looks interesting to be sure, but for me the price is too high though.

I do want a camera dedicated to astrophotgraphy but my plan is to finish saving for the 5D I want and then, once I have to thing of beuty in my hands, I will get my old XSi modified for less $$ (leaving my T2i as is). I wish I could just splurge for the 60Da, but I doubt I would get that purchace through a household audit.

Then again, hypothetically, I also think, since widefield stuff is only part of what I try to do, I'd be better off putting 60Da type money towards a CCD camera for my telescope...but then I'm not all that advanced yet so I'm going to have to stick with my plan of saving for a 5D, and sticking to DSLRs in general.
