On my latitude (nord Italy) only few days every year it's possibile have a dark sky for 12 hours: around winter solstice and on new moon.
So two year ago, when I started to move my first step on Timelaspe, from my suburban backyard I realize project to create half ring with stars. Tree is digital add.
Every tech information are on image:

Thanks Antz,
Star trail can be a sub-product of night timelapse without any effort. With Startrails freeware or Image Stacker shareware software it's very easy.

You did a really nice job keeping the sky a nice, dark colour. Well done!

Edit:

Oh, I see...you stacked images. Okay. :-) I thought it was all in one exposure on film. :-)
