Hi! Ive been testing the timelapse waters with my full frame and another Canon DSLR (APS-C) for daylight timelapses, but I think a Canon Compact (elph series) will do a better job for day timelapses that dont require that much quality and also wont brake my shutter so fast.

I´ve been looking for a Canon Compact with a fast lens (f2.0) and the option to hack the battery to put a bigger one. Also will be nice if CHDK is supported.

Any opinions or recomendations for a model you already use in this segment?

Also I will be glad of hearing your advice on the daily longest strength test for a Canon DSLR and the shutter life.
