Does this have the real-time stuff? I read somewhere that it would be introduced in this version

Not sure how you will connect for real time without a DMC -16 but hopefully someone out there will have an answer :-)

I'm just in the process of making the circuit board I need to adapt project Pipsqueak to work with DF via an Arduino using the software they give away with the current version. I'll let you know how it gets on with the new version when I've got it all working.

Wonder how many people thought this might be a free version?
Do you know if its possible to run the beta as well as the current stable version . Hope all you clever programmers out their start to tweak the df sketch . Got a feeling dragonframe may stop at the current version .as a way of making people invest in the DMC-16. :(

Displacement1,

I can see your point about DF wanting to sell their own hardware but I think it would be a mistake not to continue to support the possible use of DIY contollers. For pure amateurs like me the cost of the software is well worth it, but then havin to add many times as much loot to access all the facilities it has would put me off.
The professionals will always buy the propper controller, nobody is going to waste precious commercial time experimenting with the soldering iron. The amateurs on the other hand may be put off buying the software for $300 if they also have to spend another $1800 (plus a new Canon camera if you happen to be using something else at present) to make full use of it.

Keep supporting the impoverished enthusiast, I say. You never know which teenager in a shed may end up owning a 30 stage production facility in Bristol with a full set of DF equipment on each.

Kit

PS If you have the right contacts, could you ask them to consider my feature request on their forum ;)

I have both loaded as of yesterday: I took the precaution of putting it into a "Beta" folder rather than the default folder suggested by the software loader.
I have queried the missing Exposure tab missing from the Scenes > Connections menu. No longer available as it was duplicated in the Cinematography window where it is still available.
Queried the keyframing or controlling Exposure as per the Focus. "Might be available in 4.0 or later".

AN update for Windows 3.5 is already available :o

Just loaded 3.5 beta to my laptop............ crash............ Removed and re-registered 3.0 for now :(

Not a good way to issue a Beta. Be aware your 3.0xx will revert to trial if you load the beta, did not realise that until I had to go back to my original :(

Edit: Good news is laptop graphic driver is most probable cause and the bad news is I cannot seem to be able update them. Good excuse for a new laptop ;)
Re-Registering does not count against you (DF).

Hi Mike,
I saw the thread on timescapes.
You can let everyone know that we have no plan to stop supporting the DFMoco option--it's just never going to do real-time.
We are really a software company first. We provide the hardware so that people can get the most out of the software.

Regards,
Dyami
