yeah the only downside is the 2k raw files it produces. Personally I would prefer the maximum 4k resolution that my camera produces. At least then I can futureproof any footage I shoot. I guess for some people though, saving the shutter would be more important
Hi, I am on 3rd major shutter repair on my 5D and waiting for the 5D2 to pack up

I was thinking in terms of no moving parts, if that extended to the lens as well = no flicker maybe
