Post building a motorized rotating head
I wanted to search the forum to see if anyone's done this yet, but there doesn't seem to be a search. Anyway, I wanted to build a motorized slider and I've ordered my parts and everything is here. Thing is, I'm going to England for the summer and when my Igus slider came, I realized it's quite a hefty bit of kit and not practical for travelling. I've decided I'm going to use the motor to build a motorized panning head instead. I'm pretty certain someone's done this, but I wondered if anyone can shed some light on how to go about it? What parts I need, etc. Is there anyone who's done this? Or know of anyone?

HEy there,

Check out this thread which has been posted recently. There are more threads about this kinda stuff in the "Timelapse Motion Control Systems & Dollies" sub forum.
