Post New Equipment Advice!
We've recently been researching motion tracking and time lapse technology and are looking to make an investment in some of the best hardware and software on the market.
I was hoping that you could help point me in the right direction towards what we are looking to accomplish.

We are looking for these qualities:

Much be able to support RED Epic and heavier cameras
Possibly be modular so we can add a longer track to it.
Looking for a very long slider track (40-100 ft)
Potentially has an app to make our lives easier :)
Has follow focus and zoom capabilities
Will work with a motorized jib
Do repeat reprogrammable movements
easily travel able

Looking very seriously into the DitoGear OmniSlider and OmniHead
What is your opinion on these products?

Any insight or product advice would be super helpful!
Thank you in advance for your time

I don't think you will find any off the shelf system that fits those requirements, with the exception of the Camblock or some of the Mark Roberts stuff. But that stuff will cost you a small fortune. Well, maybe the Camblock might be within your budget. I had to build mine myself. Based on a Mantis real time controller. I think you are looking for a custom build. My two cents.

Cheers,
Doug.

Kessler CineDrive with Shuttle Pod. Maybe with extra long rail sections to make leveling easier.

For long runs, maybe a cable cam could be an alternative to rails: http://www.campilots.com/en/units.html

You can always get the moco stuff from the big boys but do the rail/cart part yourself.

Unless you can build the moco parts it's just way easier / cheaper to buy those bits.
The cart part though, you can figure it out probably.

The hard part is making it light and small! If you need a 100 ft stable shot on a track (mind boggling, wtf on my part) it is not going to small or light.

TBH I can't even picture this working unless it's a floor track dolly on a smooth surface. But then you can only use those in a few situations.
Anyways, I am not a pro so good luck!

I use the Kessler Shuttlepod 12ft withy Red. You can add 4ft lengths.. You need to support every 4ft with tripod ( they say 8ft but I beg to differ).
The cine drive I've heard good things about too...

Or as mentioned the Camblock, but double price I believe

100ft system my guess would cost about 50-80k and need 15 people to set up.. If you make this happen please let me know as I'll need to see this :)
