as far as i know that just makes the serial connection from a computer wireless (say PC in the den, telescope on the deck)... the way I look at it if your already powering a laptop in the field tethering is not a big deal.

Automate 1.0 has a program that runs on microsoft based bluetooth smart phone or pda. It downloads a canned or custom program to the "robot". It also controls the robot manually. The device does not need to stay connected once the program is started. The programing is simple but the editor is a bit under developed. It is fun to use, however.

I tried to talk Don into porting his device to the meade system (basically a device that controls the shutter and pulses the meade) We'll see if he moves in that direction...
