this is really cool. I don't speak spanish but the video speaks for itself.

that was weird I didn't see the link till I quoted your comment - very inventive - would love to see how it turned out, and I wonder if there is some inertial ramping at the start, probably not at the end though.

I was waiting to see how it turned out as well. I'd be amazed if it gave a smooth run, but have to admire this guy for ingenuity and working with what he's got right there. If I had to bet money, I'd guess that water runs out of the bottom bottle until the weight of the upper bottle overcomes friction and the trolley makes one, fast move up the track. It needs a pendulum ratchet or some other speed regulating device, doesn't it? Come on, show us what happened.

the results are way at the end and unfortunately kinda underwhelming - A lot of work going into explaining and executing the effect - I wonder if having something closer in the foreground would have helped the shot.
