So do I just hold down the buttons?
So here's a newbie question... Something that seems so basic that I can't actually find any information on it...
I recently purchased a Milapse head with 497 controller. For the time being, I'm going to just use the hand controller and not try to mess with using the software (yet). I understand how the speed and ratio settings work, and I've found an acceptable speed to try experimenting with, but my question is... do I just hold down the buttons (or use a clamp, as someone else suggested) to make it move?
My main concern is that when the unit completes a tilt, the button will still be held down. Won't that damage the motor to have it continue to run when it has gone as far as it can go? Do I need to be standing right there to stop the controller when it reaches that maximum tilt so that I don't burn out the motor or damage the internal components?
I'm new to the forums so I apologize if this question is already answered somewhere else.. I couldn't find it listed anywhere I looked.
Thanks!
