Post MiLapse rig question. Stereo cameras
I am looking to attach 2 Canon 40D's (base-to-base) in a stereo configuration. I have seen a mounting system that gets the interocular distance right, but I do not know if two 40D's with Tokina 11-16's would be too heavy for the MiLapse astro rig arm.

Do any of you have experience with something (maybe a 1D/D3 with a long lens) approaching this mass? Will it chew up the gears?

Thanks
Pb :)

The largest setup I've used on mine was a 7D with a battery grip and a 70-200 L lens. It handled it fine. I think it will handle what you are trying to do as long as its balanced.
