Post Meade Head (repair)
Hi there,

A few years ago I stumbled onto Milapse and saw the amazing world of the AutoStar Meade head. I went half into it with a friend of mine and he's been holding on to it for the most part. I picked it up from him and before I left I tested it out. Seems he took it apart to see how it works and snapped the metal plate from the rod that holds the gear to the top motor.
I told him that he has to buy a new one but, I have the old one here with the broken part. I haven't been able to figure out how I could fix it and from my research it's cheaper to buy a new one rather than buying a replacement part from them.
Any suggestions??? Maybe someone broke their meade head beyond repair and wouldn't mind helping out a fellow TL friend? Or maybe there is a a way I can modify it to do something cool I don't know about?
Really any suggestions are welcome. I'd even sell it if there is someone who wants a partially working head.

Thank you.

Yeah, I have a broken one lying around too. If you can post a photo showing the specific part that broke I can send it to you - assuming that it isn't the same part I broke myself...

Here are some of the photos of the broken part. Let me know if it's what you broke or not.

This picture shows where he broke it:

This is how it would look if it wasn't broken all put together.

Thank you for the replacement part.
I took some of the parts of the broken one I had and added them to the one you sent. I just have to run some tests when I get a chance and see how it played with the timing.
Thank you, it is very much appreciated.
