I'm also hoping this could work. You can use the USB port to interface with the camera, and since the raspi doesnt have a display we can use a smartphone app or web page to modify settings. Wifi adhoc mode can be used to establish the connection to the device.

ad a lilliput monitor + mini usb Keyboard + SOFTWARE and have fun! with the GPIO you have in and output http://elinux.org/Rpi_Low-level_periphe ... .28GPIO.29 and a I2C interface! cool! i think some body need to writ this Software Canon dond support Linux and this is wrong from this Canon guys!  ok i have a Raspbarry and now i will Play with this little thing! gphoto2 runs om the 600D not 100%,  USB Port problems i will combine this with muy Chronos ! i hope 1 Day its finish and this way the brain its working again, last programming what i touch its 20 years or moor ago! Dirk

no time the last what i test its take a picture and download this to a harddisk with gphoto2. works so far good! and i need moor research the programming stuf. i hope 1 day i have time for finish the code, Dirk
