Post Best intervalometer for 5D MarkII
So I've been looking over the site and reading posts but I'm having a hard time finding an answer to my question which is what Intervalometer to buy for the 5D MarkII. I am basically looking for a replica of Canon's TC80N3. I've heard some bad tales about aftermarket models but know there are some good ones as well. Any advice for a cheaper version with all the same capabilities? It would be nicer to be able to shoot more than 99 photos as well for long timelapses.

Thanks!
Dave

Out of curiosity; What bad tales have you heard?

You could pick up like 3 interval timers from linkdelight and have two as backups.

I've bought several from Linkdelight and a different aftermarket, not for 5D though. I haven't had any problems with them. The ones from Linkdelight that only show up to 99, I just set to 0 and they will shoot until your memory card fills up, or your battery dies.

This one has been great for me so far. Wish there was an off button, but I've had the same battery in for months and its still kicking just fine.

Just had to send one of these back because it didn't work right with my 5d2. It wouldn't fire consitently.

Hmm... interesting. Care to detail your issues? I'd like to know what might happen to mine.

If yours is working now you're probably fine. Mine didn't work from the start.

I had to push on where the remote plugs into the camera with my thumb to get it to work. As soon as I let go it wouldn't fire.
