Post Software that can ramp exposure compensation?
Is there any intervalometer software (Windows, iPhone, or Windows Mobile) that can ramp the exposure compensation on a Nikon? I’ve had very good success taking HDR timelapses in Program Mode and removing flicker in post (LRTimelapse is sweet!). My problem is that after nautical dusk and into astronomical dusk the meter in program mode can’t push my D700 past 1 sec, ISO 2800, f/2.8 when I can manually go up to 30 sec, ISO 4000, f/2.8 and get great Milky Way shots. If I could ramp the exposure compensation up or down to +6 EV or so over a preset time period, I could stay in Program Mode for the daylight/sunset shots. Still chasing that elusive holy grail, but I think this might be one way to achieve it!
