Post MX2 Firmware Update could replace little bramper?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe a firmware update to the MX2 Dolly Engine could offer bulb exposure and ISO ramping to the camera, without using the Little Bramper. The outputs are certainly all there; if the cable for monitoring shutter activity is required, could the "ext 1/2" I/O ports be used for this? I don't think it is too out of reach to create a firmware update for the MX2 that will amalgamate the two into a single console.

Regarding whether Ext 1 can be used to monitor the shutter on camera, yes, with firmware change: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=7204

Now, as for implementing all of the algorithms to re-create something like the BRamper, well, that is substantially more work - but shouldn't be herculean to someone with the knowledge to do so. =)

It's my understanding that there are precious few bytes of program space left - and that might be the deal-breaker - unless someone ports the Arduino code to work on Arduinos that have more program space.
