Post Little Bramper Needed Urgently
I realize that they are no longer be produced, at least for the time being, but I was hoping someone on this forum either has an extra or one that they are looking to sell. If so, please message me and we can work something out! I'm currently working on a big project in , TX that will require some bulb ramping. I have looked into alternate methods such as timelapse+, promote, software, etc. The Little Bramper is the only solution for me. Any leads would be helpful too.

Thanks!

The JSR Intervalometer I'm building on can do bulb ramping, but I do not have any available yet for immediate shipping.

Let me know though if you would like one for future projects.

does it has a built in light meter to automatically adjust the required exposure for the best results

No, it doesn't. The reason is that an automatic light meter doesn't work the way you would expect it to. The best meter you can find is your camera itself, but if you leave it on automatic for a timelapse the final product will have flicker as your camera adjusts each frame to the correct exposure. A built in light meter on an intervalometer would suffer from the same drawback. That being said, I'm waiting to see how Timelapse+ incorporates its light meter.

With the Little Bramper, and now the JSR Intervalometer, you have to supervise the timelapse and manually adjust the rate of change. You monitor the pictures and histogram and estimate the future exposures needed. Although this takes a bit of experience and practice, it results in very smooth exposure ramps which are hard to beat.

I will ship on a first ordered basis. I'm currently experiencing a delay while waiting for parts to arrive. Estimated time before shipping new orders is 4-8 weeks.

Nice Chieftain John, is it yours? That is my regular 'office' nowadays.

I have a LB, that I will probably not use, not now I have discovered LRTimelapse for Lightroom.

I am in UK.

Not sure if I really want to sell it yet, as I only just bought it. I did assume it had a light meter built in and yo'd not have to predict the light levels and exposure in advance. All seems a bit hit and miss to me.

If you are desperate for one, make me an offer and I'll consider...as I say, may keep it ..all depends on if it is worth the hassle of selling it.

Cheers

Neil

Unfortunately, I just sold my little bramper last week.

I do have a JSR ramping intervalometer which you can have for $100. Its one of the original ones assembled by John S. It even has the awesomely nice case which the original ones had, which I don't think he makes anymore. So this one has a case and is all assembled instead of the kit with no case.

If you want something totally automatic with a light sensor, i also have a Ramperpro for sale. Its on ebay right now for $500. its the pro kit with cables for two Canon full frame cameras and the light sensor. It also comes with the Dragonframe motion control adapters which I don't think they sell yet. Here's a link to the ebay sale.
