 Anyone else get odd looks?
Something I have noticed lately is that people don't bat an eyelid when you are just shooting with a DSLR however as soon as you start introducing timelapse gear you do start to get some funny looks! Re: Anyone else get odd looks?
Oh yeah.
I live in Littleton Colorado. I went shooting at Clement Park which backs up against Columbine High School. I started to notice a lot of real strange looks when i was carrying Chronos across the park, I suppose from a distance it could look like a rifle of some sorts.
I am used to getting a strange look from time to time, but that was akin to the scene in the old western when the guy walks into the saloon and everything goes dead silent as everyone stares at the newcomer.

Re: Anyone else get odd looks?
had this experience last night, but I was confronted by a dozen people asking if I had a bomb. Granted I was at a bar, I really hope they aren't that dumb sober. I think the best statement I got was when I explained to a girl what the process was from taking a timelapse to the final video and she just said, "sounds like a lot of work". Haha

I never really get strange looks though. No stranger than usual. I get more strange looks in Cumbria when I'm carrying around a camera, followed by a model or two lugging around the Bowens strobes & Tronix battery packs (you gotta put models to good use when they're not prancing around in front of the lens).
