If If If.... This seems like the camera for me.

But what's the bottom line??:

$2800 interchange brain
$storage
$vf lcd
=?
What exacly do you 'need' for a basic 2/3" interchangeable?

Is c-mount still on the table??

Low light? Any rumors / indicators?

The bottom line is that they're still just a bunch of renders...I wouldn't start putting any items in my shopping cart just yet.

I'd love to have 120fps, and I can't wait until supplies exist and lowly non-RED owning person such as myself can be given the honor of buying one, but really, when will that be? 2011?

To their credit, I love the specs, the design, the whole idea, and I think some of the pics that show the camera with lenses might not be renders, but really, people treat these updates like it's a camera in hand. Whenever I spend time over at reduser.net at first I get excited, but eventually, I just get tired.

Totally. Guess we can just keep guessing and wishing. Having that fps and TL capabilities in one sub$5000(?) package is such sweet vapor to toke. Mmmmm

Their pricing structure looks alluring at first glance, but it seems like they really get you with the cost of all the accessories you need for a complete package.

Well, it's still 1/8 the cost of a Varicam and 1/15 the cost of a Sony digital cinema camera.

It's good to keep things in perspective when it comes to Scarlet. We are talking about 3K RAW 2/3 at 120fps! With ability to record pro sound, etc. Even the $200K Sony 2/3" cine cameras cannot come close to RAW or to 120 fps!

The latest news on Epic and Scarlet : http://www.eoshd.com/content/252-Red-Scarlet-and-Epic-hit-by-unprecedented-production-problems

The story on the Foxconn closure may be a little exaggerated, but there is an irony in China being outsourced. :?

I had never realized RED made their cameras in China.
