I ordered a gentled auto last week and it can arrive any day now.. I'd like to know what settings i need for my hv30 to let it operate with the genled. I know there are alot of variables like lightning that have influence on the settings, but there are also a couple of standard settings. (focus on manual etc)

So basically i like to know what setting has to be in which mode and with what settings do i need to play to get the best image.

Finally do you guys record the pictures in 1920x1080 or at 2048x1536

I have one for my Sony HDR-HC3. It works awesome for things in pretty good light. I use mine for clouds, sunsets and family gatherings and use my DSLR for night scenes like stars.

I usually keep it at 3 second intervals, set the manual focus and keep it in the 16x9 mode.
