Post nanoMoCo
Hey guys, just wanted to post some status on the latest thing. Sorry I haven't been around much lately, but with my account still un-recovered since the DB issues, it's hard to re-engage, losing all of my history (and my username =)

Anyhow, been working on the new nanoMoCo, to allow for a network of "smart stepper motors", i.e. multi-axis, modular rigs. Getting close to final stages on the hardware, but otherwise plenty of software left to write/modify.

Basically, you can link up to 16 of them (it's possible to do more, but not without some high-quality cabling...) to a single controller (i.e. USB port on a computer) and each one runs a full time-lapse engine for more advanced capabilities that can be achieved when only one motor is driven per processor. They will synchronize between them on timing. Of course, they are fully arduino-compatible, meaning you can write your own sketches and upload to them directly via the Arduino IDE.

Once released, there'll be a new Qt/C++ asynchronous library for control in addition to the standard perl library, to allow for richer applications. Multiple networks can easily be controlled at once using the Qt library in an application...
