I wanted to share Panolapse, a new time-lapse software tool for Windows and Mac OSX.

The primary feature of the application is adding rotational panning motion to time-lapses, using 3D lens perspective correction. It essentially acts like a motorized head. Panolapse also lets you animate lens zooming.

Deflickering is also possible with Panolapse. The program can output in JPG frames, or combine your image sequence into a mp4/mov video file.

Nice. Do you have any future plans for raw image support?

Thanks!

There is some RAW image support for interpolating metadata with the new RAWBlend feature.
Check it out at http://www.panolapse360.com/rawblend/

Here's a demo of RAWBlend in action.

This is a recent video (Maui HD "House of the Sun") also made with Panolapse, check it out for a demo.

Just thought I'd chip in here with some thoughts.

I really do think Panolapse has huge potential, especially with high resolution cameras.

I shot a few hundred images on my Phase One IQ180 (80MP back), and threw a few samples up on my YouTube channel.

I think this one probably gets across the potential of this software. With 24mm full-frame fisheye lens (note - the camera was totally stationary for this), I can simulate 35mm DSLR FF equivalent lenses from 14mm all the way up to 60mm and render in 4k...

Regards,

Gerald.

Can you use all the parameters in Lightroom, like radiant and gradient filters, tone curve etc.? If so how?

Also, if I render a timelapse video when exporting frames from Panolapse do I have a choice of codec? If so how do I choose which codec I'd like to use?

tone curve is supported in the latest version of panolapse/rawblend, just released. Many other parameters are also supported.

Here's some clips of the "fisheye timelapse" distortion technique in Panolapse
