Post Confusion over recent youtube upload
Just now, I uploaded a 1280 x 720 time lapse video to youtube and for some strange reason, it has converted it into a 360p video. When I click on the quality settings, there is no 720p option (the highest it will go is 360p.) Ive uploaded a number of 720p videos to youtube in the past and they have always maintained that resolution. I do realise that there have been a lot of changes occurring at youtube in recent times. These days, do you have to manually select a resolution setting or something like that during the upload process? If so, I couldn't find anything like that. I did note an advanced settings option (maybe I'll click on that next time.) I do recall that in the past, youtube could detect if videos were HD resolution or not.
