Post City People Scape
Need some advice on a timelapse of crowds in a city.

Ill be placing my tripod in the position that this picture was taking and i want to capture people walking past but i am not sure what fps to use and also not sure if 1s or 2s interval is best. People walk at average pace in this area, its not a fast walking area.

Tripod Position - http://l7.alamy.com/zooms/c87ea98fed004 ... at0ftx.jpg

Thanks in advance.

for people you can use with 1 or 2 seconds per frame - but the real important thing is to drag the shutter to at least a 1/2 second that way you get more fluid motion of the people, not so staccato look of people jumping around the frame.

Thanks for the swift reply! do you have any recommendation for FPS to render the video in post?

definitely drag the shutter as pixelbot suggests.

I've always wanted to try doing a more "ghost city" effect. Use a 20 to 30 second exposure, clearly need an ND400 or so. I did some tests but didn't take it any further.

I output to 29.97 because it's the same frame rate as TV (in the US) of course 24 fps is also usable for computer delivery

that would be extremely weird - it supports shutter speeds up to 30 seconds. It may require you get an ND filter to allow you to get the correct exposer for 1/2 second in daylight

The 600D has a half-second exposure but you have to set it by pressing the "Q" button. For some reason that only Canon can explain, some settings aren't shown when scrolling through shutter speeds with the wheel.
