 Re: Post Your Vimeo Address
Lots of time lapse movies from my first time lapse to progressively expert (IMHO!). All my own work on a Canon 20D, my workhorse, bought a used 50mm prime L lens for $300. No way I would shoot TL photogrpahy on a 7D or better and >$1000 lenses as, yes, they do wear out. The 20D works just fine except for the fact there is no sRAW, the RAW is simply to big to process 2000+ images at a time and would never fit on my 4GB card. So I shoot small jpeg and tweak colors in Premiere and After Effects. http://vimeo.com/album/140076

So I shoot small jpeg and tweak colors in Premiere and After Effects. http://vimeo.com/album/140076 What are you talking about. The 20D doesn't produce that massive of RAW files sizes. I started off doing timelapse with the 20D and I to started off not shooting in RAW. Jpeg has a really tough time dealing with gradients plus you can't do as many adjustments to the image if you need to. So after shooting a bunch on jpeg timelapse I switched over to RAW only because of all the little problems that started creeping up in the jpegs. Plus I think of the RAW files as my digital negatives for all my timelapse shots. Also this is the second time I've heard of someone not wanting to shoot timelapse on a 5D2/7D because it would wear out. You would have to shoot timelapse day in and day out to break either of those cameras doing timelapse. Plus the idea is to use the best tools possible shooting timelapse so you can get what you need to get. The same thing goes with using expensive glass on your timelapse camera. Why not? Your going to get your best images shooting on the nice glass and as long as you take care of the lenses they will last a couple lifetimes. So all I'm trying to say is shoot the best image possible. BTW, here's my Vimeo address to stay on point. http://vimeo.com/user703283/videos
