Hi everyone,

I'm new to timescapes. I recently completed a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia. Along the way, I took a picture of myself every single day. I have all of these pictured edited and ready to go, but am not sure of my next steps. Almost all the info I could find online was for use of programs that I neither have on my laptop or have the money to pay for. Does anyone have any recommendations as to a free program or process, ideally within google chrome apps/extensions in which I could piece together my photos into a timelapse video? Would appreciate any help or advice on this. Thanks

A good free program that you can use is VirtualDub. VD can assemble your still photos into a time lapse video. Instructions on how to use it are here:

Note that the instructions start in the second post of the thread.

You'll also need to set the frame rate by going to Video - Frame Rate. For some reason, VD has a default frame rate of 10fps but you can set it to anything you like - 25fps, 30fps etc.
