 geminids lens choice? I am thinking of shooting a timelapse of the geminids tomorrow night. Anyone shot them before?
I don't have any motorized head, so the position will move on me throughout the night... I have a 7d 7d and a 50 mm 1.4 or an 18-55 is... The 50 is a better and lens but I'm not sure it is wide enough.
I'm planning to do continuous 30 second exposures.

Re: geminids lens choice? Use the widest field possible for geminids. They come in fast, so at 30 second exposures, they will end up being a streak on one (or two) exposures max. Too fast for time lapse IMO...if anything, slow motion would be better.
