Post how many frames have I shot on the 5D Mk2 ?
Still a relative newbie on the 5D, so presumably a stupid question- if my shot/frame counter only registers from 999, how do I work out how many frames I have shot when the camera is still operational and doing a time lapse shot ? I keep on forgetting to check my watch before I start a time lapse shot and my TC-80 remote controller has not learnt how to count up to 100 !

I have File Numbering set to 'Auto Reset' (it's a menu option). When I start a time-lapse I reformat the CF card, which sets the file number to zero i.e IMG_0000.CR2. I then use image review (if possible) when I shoot, which displays the file (i.e frame) number in the top right corner.

Yea thanks, I have the file numbering on Auto reset, but usually shoot time lapse on 'Live View' , as I understand this is easier on the life of the mirror given the substantial volume of exposures with time laspe work.

In this Live View mode I do not get the exposure/frame count on the top right or am I doing something wrong here ?
