Post subject:  Help me with calibration?

I've just pulled out my DP stage zero kit after a few years of sitting idle. Still seems to be working perfectly but for the life of me I can't seem to calibrate it to be even anywhere close to the correct speeds. I know that I can do the teeth per second method for pulse/continuous motion but I'd also like to do some more night timelapses so will need to do SMS and therefore I think I really need to calibrate. Thing is, I've done the auto calibration and the figures aren't even close after calibration.

Any help appreciated :)

Two suggestions;

do some test runs and figure out your speed at several settings so you can figure out speeds between your test speeds. You can do this at home while watching TV. Once you have some idea of how fast its going, try a run at the speed you want to shoot at to verify before lugging all that stuff out in the field.

Last time I looked at the Dynamic site, they had the whole manual for MX2 online. You can use it there, or print it out if you don't mind using the paper and printer ink.

Good luck!
