Hello dear community!

It's time to introduce the DitoGear™ OmniSlider.
Although we've been around for some time and the product sales started in Oct 2010, we were really busy with the development, upgrades and setting up business.
That's why we're a bit late here. Anyway, I hope you'll like the product.

To give you a brief description - the slider has been designed primarily for shooting timelapse, but is also capable of working in real-time video, has motion recording/playback features as well as position memory and stop-motion mode.
All in compact and really intuitive interface that we can be proud of. It comes in different lengths from 1.0m to 2.5m (total length of 2.8m) and a wide range of accessories.
Needless to say it is capable of controlling shutter of most DSLRs on the market and has both continuous and drive-shoot-drive mode.

The design is based on a high precision linear bearing system and a stepper motor.
Wider range of motors will be available in the future for different applications.
*** Update: Currently the servo motors w/ proprietary controllers are in use.

I attach some pictures and some videos shot on the slider.
The product overview video is on its way and hopefully will appear this week.

Bravo! Your use of the long slider as an elevator rig works well, and the magic arm must give you good camera positioning control.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice slider are you planning a pan and tilt head to?

Yes, definitely.
The Pan/Tilt is coming as a transitional model, but we're heading for launching a 10-12 axis controller including dolly, 4-axis crane, 3-axis pan/tilt/rotate, focus drive and zoom drive.
But as you may suspect it will take time :)

The omnislider looks insane!
But there's one thing i don't understand, and that's the difference between your version with the stepper motor and the servo motor version? I assume the servomotor is better, since its more expensive?
