I have basically read every single thread, topic, and whatever on this site to try and understand the complex art of a good time lapse. I am relatively new to time lapse (6 months) and I love making them a lot. I own a Nikon D5000 with an 18-55mm lens (kit) and I use a combination of iMovie and the iStopMotion demo to create my movies. Although I have made a couple medium quality movies I think this one is the first higher quality one.[vimeo]http://vimeo.com/10837175[/vimeo]. So Hello to all! WIthin a couple years I hope to branch out of the static time lapse and try and make an inexpensive DIY dolly. I am a high school student, and if it hadn't been for Nikon's built in intervalometer I would have never gotten into this amazing art! I stumbled into it while going through the menus one day.

Be careful as it can become addictive :?

Ya Ive noticed haha. It's tough to balance time lapse and school because for the time lapse you need to right place at the right time and I miss a lot of time lapses because of school. School is more important though as time lapse is a hobby, but I have been having a lot of fun with it.

I'm from Bmore, glad to know I'm not the only one on here from the area. Sounds like we both need to make our own dolly, where to start... Where to find time? Jeremy
