Just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Mike and I live in central New Jersey. I've been a lurking for a couple months and finally decided to join. Now I just thought it would be nice to share how I got started in this timelapse stuff. So here goes, Around august of last year I got interested in astronomy as that hobby progressed I started to see beautiful pictures of the milkyway and thought how cool would it be if I could do that. SO I picked up my parents Nikon P80 (bridge camera) and started playing around. I soon found out 8 second exposures at ISO 200 just wasn't enough, so I did some research and cam across Dakotalapse (Randy) and Tom's work and was simply blown away. I kept looking at what kinds of equipment and setting they were using and just experimented. Then over the summer I bought a Nikon D5100 and went to Cherry Springs State Park and took some pictures. I was gonna do a timelapse but Nikon's Built in Intervalometer just kept shutting down the camera after 60 shots. So I just created my first timelapse a few days ago and would like to to receive some feedback (both good and bad).
