Post Power adapter help/question
I am looking at power adapters for my T2i (so I can shoot long exposures without my battery dieing) And it looks like the plug for the "ACK-E8 " plugs in where my shutter release/timer would go. Does it power the camera through the mic input instead? Can you not use the power adapter and shutter timer at the same time? I couldn't find the information listed on the internet so I would appreciate any help for a noob.

It is like all the other Canons, where you have a fake battery connected to a cable to power it.
You can use one of these with a DC supply instead of AC

Oh TYvm. I would not have guessed that because the camera wont turn on with the battery door open(wires dont look like they would fit under door) but it must bypass that somehow or else they wouldn't sell it, right? haha.
