I thought so too, I saw it on Gizmodo yesterday. I love the comments, people take things way too seriously.

I'm genuinely surprised that there is as much interest in that particular camera/lens (and it's images) as there has been. People have been adapting a large range of lenses to digital cameras for quite a while and although this is a particularly old lens, I don't personally see much interest in it aside from that. Is the lens making the images Black and White? That would make it interesting.

Micro four thirds! You can easily adapt any lens in existence to it... Guess it's just the 5dmkii factor and interesting shots here. I totally agree with John though, nothing super new... the Japanese are and have been totally gaga about this stuff for at least a decade!

True, M4/3 is the way to go if adapting lenses, it's just unfortunate that the sensor is so small. I'm a big fan of a big sensor, mainly because of the effect on depth of field. I've been looking at getting an Aero Ektar for a Sinar 4x5 that I have gethering dust. Maybe shoot some 'roids on it or some nice colour neg film. Money is always an issue however so it's not high on the 'to-do' list.

Jay, check out some of the images on this site using 8x10 cameras and some very old (and very expensive) glass. Talk about Bokeh...

I love the look you can get from old lenses and cameras, alas it is just about impossible to get good film and developing these days.
I'm tempted to buy a 4/3 for this alone, although I could probably knock up something on my lathe for the 5D2 for a lot of lenses.

I modified a back for my old view camera about 2 years ago, very pleased with the images from my D10/5D especially when depth of field is important with close-up work. This flower is about 6" front to back.
