just about to order my Kit from Dynamic, i have been able to source the rail locally in AU from 80/20. I got a 5ft rail to save on transport.

Anyone recommend a good bag to put the rail in and or other parts into for transporting ?

i was thinking of a ski bag so i can claim on planes its "sporting gear" anyone had any experience with that ?

Welcome to the forum, there is actually a thread on this topic telling what others are doing to transport their kit, I use a padded Ski Bag myself when just carrying the rail with tripods and cart mounted is impractical.

5 ft rail? 6ft is sometimes too short for some shots I get.

Let me know if you're interested in some short support legs and a limit switch kit for you system.

I am working on making a multi-segment rail kit, using these:

So, you might consider the same, joining multiple (say 3') sections.... The are cheaper and much easier to transport.

where i live, in the middle of Australian desert only way to get stuff in is via normal post on a small mail plane ,they will not transport anything over 5ft so thats what i had to go for.

i will see when the kit arrives and might look at get another 5ft rail and join them somehow

The perfect bag for transporting the Dynamic Perception Dolly. This is a padded bag for a 1800mm long Faithfull spirit level. The 6 foot rail fits in it perfectly. But please note the rail you get is not 6ft long it is 4 inches or so shorter than that. If you buy a 72" rail from an 80/20 supplier it will be 72" and will not fit in the bag. I cut my second rail to length to make it fit the bag. Here is the link to buy it on UK eBay for £7.07 + delivery:
