Help with intervalometer and triggering IR remote
Hi All,
I have only recently started timelapse and have now received my intervalometer from eBay (this one:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170925400873). I intended to use it to trigger an IR remote for my Sony NEX 5n.
I have altered the remote so there are now two wires coming out that just need to be touched together and the remote fires. I have also tested the outputs on the intervalometer (by splitting one of the leads into its component wires) and two of the wires appear to be connected during the exposure time - brilliant! Just connect them up and it should work - well kind of.
What I get is the IR remote firing once only. After that I need to disconnect/reconnect the wires and it fires again - once only.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I am not an electronics expert but I thought that the intervalometer just made the circuit during every exposure so the remote should fire each time? Its like the circuit is made once then not released when the exposure is over.
I have (sort of) followed this page:
http://www.raybot.com.au/raybots-revela ... the-nex-5/ but the remotes are internally different so I have had to find my own way.
Many thanks for any info.
Cheers,
Russ.
