 a bit lost
hey all, my company is starting a new home construction and the home owner wants a timelapse video of the process. his wife also wants to view a live feed of the site whenever she wants. every set up i've came across so far, didn't allow live viewing. am i looking in the wrong places or is a live view option impossible? thanks for any advice

I don't think it's a good idea to leave ANY camera outdoors for extended periods of time with no protection... Are you planning on doing that? There are specialty cameras for the exact purpose you are talking about: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=outdoor+webcam+constructionhttp://lmgtfy.com/?q=outdoor+webcam+con ... +live+viewhttp://lmgtfy.com/?q=outdoor+webcam+con ... +live+feedhttp://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss? ... ebcam%20hdIf you want to do it on the cheap you can ask them to ask a neighbour if they're willing to mount any HD webcam pointing at the site from inside their house. Or create your own housing. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=webcam+housing

try reading through other posts on the forum. Lots of people have done exactly what you want. You could google harbortronics or photosentinel or Erdman Video. Timescapes members EVS Nick and photosentinel can be helpful if you PM them

 Re: a bit lost
Home security systems are built to have cameras outside, and they also connect to the web for streaming to any device. Many have hd-quality.
I have a "defender" home security system that does this, but there are many out there.
For the time lapse, you need a camera with an intervalometer (either built-in or not).
