6month+ timelapse... what kind of a cam?
Hello everyone!
For the start i want to say I had to do with Time Lapse before - it was part of my normal video projects. Im thinking about getting something "little bit longer" than couple of hours - 6 months to be exact

Sadly i won't be able to check on the camera more often than once every two weeks so I've started to think over a solution to make it care about it self as far as possible. At this point:
- DIY hermetic housing for the camera and other stuff;
- 3G/LTE router with WiFi;
- Eye-Fi Pro SD card to send RAWs on to the server;
- IntervaĊometer (build in or a cable one);
- backup battery in case the AC will go dead for a while;
- Camera...
And here lays my problem... every day im working with micro 4/3 lenses, i dont want to buy an expensive body for this project (for shure not something like the GH4). I was always using manual lenses for timelapses, but those old ones (m42 etc.) dont fit the idea of wide angle with 2x crop :/
Question: Is it smart to consider a compact camera for timelapse that will last 6 months (one RAW every 10 min - yes, i know that will be a lot of material to deal with). If not a compact, im thinking about entry lvl DSLR like Canon 1200D or Nikon D3200 (thats the max price im willing to pay for that body)
Maybe You could recomend any camera - best with integrated interwalometer and ofcorse with an option to plug in to AC power.
Thx for any sugestions
